The main objective of this project was the design and leadership of a corporation that would bring together associations of tourism service providers in the region. This strategic approach aimed to achieve cohesion and collaboration among the peace signatories, who emerged as new actors in the tourism sector of Macarena-Caño Cristales. Andrés Cárdenas, with his innovative vision, not only efficiently structured this corporation but also led the implementation of strategies that fostered sustainable development and peace through tourism.
The Macarena-Caño Cristales, known for its natural richness and unique beauty, thus became a focal point for peacebuilding and economic development. The integration of peace signatories into tourism activity not only generated economic opportunities in the region but also contributed to building a stronger and more resilient social fabric.
This success case exemplifies our ability to carry out projects that go beyond academic boundaries, positively impacting communities and contributing to sustainable development. We thank the Universidad Externado de Colombia for trusting in our vision and expertise, and we are excited to continue collaborating on initiatives that generate significant impact on society and the environment.
